Classes Descriptions

Ballet is one of the most important classes offered and is often regarded as the basis of dance. In ballet the student will learn grace, elegance, technique, discipline, flexibility, stamina, and endurance. Students are taught classical ballet technique with proper body placement and alignment, barre and center floor work, along with across the floor combinations. As level increases, Pointe technique is introduced. All students are urged to enroll in ballet, as it is the foundation of all other dance styles and facilitates further success in these disciplines.  It is highly recommended that dancers have at least two ballet classes per week.

Jazz utilizes technique, ballet, and contemporary methods and is an essential dance class.  It's energetic and fun, consisting of unique moves, fancy footwork, big leaps, and quick turns.

Urban Ave. (Urban Dance Classes)

Urban dance is the result of an evolution of hip hop. Over the years, hip hop has been fused with various other styles of dance, resulting in what many people call: Urban Choreography. This newer style is noticeably different and is based on musicality and story-telling, bringing to life the choreographer's interpretation of the music. New World Dance presents "Urban Ave" as our newest division of dance classes. (These classes are professionally filmed).

For Teens & Adults. Scheduled announced every Tuesday at  Click below for more info.
